Serena Williams won the tournament at Singapore and got her fifth WTA Finals just five days title after Romanian claimed the victory in group play.
A reborn Williams did a great game hammering Halep 6-3, 6-0 in the Singapore final and wining Billie Jean King trophy again.
She picks up a cheque of $US 2,047,000 and the Billie Jean King trophy after just a couple of months after her knee injury at China open when she withdrew.
“I didn’t expect this. I just started training because I had such a knee in Beijing so I wasn’t even sure if I would be able to play here,” Williams said.
“And now I’ve won the Billie Jean King trophy again so for me it’s just really amazing, I’m so excited.”
